Day 1

 Day 1 was a 10 hour drive from Ann Arbor to Catalina's sister's house outside Minneapolis. I guess this is the beauty of the Midwest- we got in I-94 at 9:30am and didn't get off until 6:30pm when we were 15 miles from their house. We passed through four states:

It all looked pretty much like this: 

That is, until we got to upper Wisconsin. Then, all of a sudden, it looked like this: 

Mind you, this is MAY SECOND. We were literally dumbfounded as we drove through this wintry anti-hell, wondering who- WHO would choose to live here. Oh yeah. These kids. WTF is a Blugold?
